Sutton Hoo
back

Sutton Hoo is one of Britain's most important and atmospheric archaeological sites. The National Trust has opened a visitor centre that allows people to explore the Burial ground of the Anglo-Saxon kings of East Anglia and see the priceless royal treasures discovered in a huge ship grave.

The exhibition tells the compelling story of early English history and the Anglo Saxons through the objects discovered in the grave.

Working with Anglo Saxon re-enactment groups, replica wooden ship builders and craftsmen who replicate other Anglo Saxon crafts Newangle was asked to produce a 12 minute introductory programme that is shown in a viewing theatre to a seated audience. The programme provides insights into Anglo Saxon life, the story of the 1939 dig that discovered the burial ship and describes the significance of the discovered artefacts.
