The new permanent exhibition hall, set amongst the hangars at Royal Air Force Museum Cosford, tells the story of the Cold War, from national, international, social, political and cultural perspectives.

Newangle was asked to produce a series of audio-visual exhibits that focus on key aspects of the Cold War such as the Berlin Airlift, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Space Race.

The Cuban Missle Crisis is an immersive audiovisual presentation of the dramatic tension of the crisis. The story is told to an audience seated at a circular table, 12 screens of video surround them and a downwards projection onto the table shows animated maps, graphics and video along with a dramatic countdown. The experience is enhanced by lighting and sound effects.
