Weller Astronomy Galleries
Royal Observatory Greenwich

The Time Galleries and Weller Astronomy Galleries are part of the Royal Observatory's recent spectacular £15 million redevelopment which also includes  the Peter Harrison Planetarium and Lloyd's Trust Learning Centre.

Newangle were commissioned to create a series of audiovisual interactives that provide a hands-on learning opportunity for the broad range of the museum's visitors.

The exhibits explore the different techniques used by Astronomers to explore and understand the Universe and the science behind guiding a space mission.

On a multi user table with vertical and horizontal projection, visitors can listen to current eminent UK Astronomers answering questions about space science.

‘The galleries have a far more cerebral feel than twiddling knobs and buttons ….. and there is no hint of dumbing down anywhere.’ - The Times, Wednesday May 3rd

'Astronomy Inspires' is an immersive, multi projection experience with images, video, animations, text, and sound providing an engaging and dynamic introduction to the big questions and key concepts of Astronomical Science.
