The Holocaust Memorial Center in Detroit is the world’s first museum dedicated to the Holocaust. In 2004 a new building was completed to house a new exhibition.

This exhibition takes the visitor on a journey from the darkness of the final solution to discovery of the individuals who, despite personal risk, took action to save lives.

The museum features extensive new material, much of which uses state-of-the-art display techniques, to enhance and extend the scope of their message, to help future generations understand and direct their lives to the maintenance of an open, free society.

Newangle were appointed to produce all audiovisual exhibits for this new memorial centre. Through careful and considerable research, scriptwriting, filming and video editing Newangle produced a powerful and immersive experience that describes the horror of the Holocaust in a clear and powerful way.

The climax of the video experience is a six screen, surround sound installation. The visitor is immersed in the programme with the imagery circulating all around them.  The programme uses 3D and motion graphics, animated stills, filmed actors addressing and challenging the viewers and a surround sound effect from multiple speakers.
