dec 2008 / British Museum, Shah ‘Abbas: The Remaking of Iran

This major exhibition explores seventeenth-century Iran through the reign and legacy of one of its most influential rulers, Shah ‘Abbas I who reigned AD 1587–1629.
Newangle have been awarded this next temporary exhibition in the Reading Room which will include large scale projections on four central design walls.
The exhibition will open on 19th February 2009.

 
nov 2008 / Ashmolean

The Ashmolean is undergoing a major capital project to build a new building that will provide 39 new galleries, a dedicated Education Centre and a new conservation suite.
Newangle have been appointed to produce film and screen based interactives that will be linked to objects on display in the new galleries.
The redeveloped Ashmolean will open in November 2009.

 
sep 2008 / Hampton Court Palace: Young Henry VIII

Visit this fascinating permanent exhibition will explore the stereotypes that have over shadowed the true characters and stories of Henry VIII, Cardinal Wolsey and Katherine of Aragon for centuries.
Newangle have been commissioned to produce 4 films that will allow the visitor to discover the young King.
The exhibition will open June 2009.

 
july 2008 / British Museum: Clocks & Watches

These new permanent galleries at the British Museum explore the development of the clock from the first medieval mechanical timepieces through to modern precision time-keeping.
Newangle were commissioned to produce a 3D animation of the Cassiobury Park turret clock from AD 1610 and have just been recommissioned to produce a 3D animation of a late 19th century pocket watch.

 
june 2008 / Bahrain National Monument

Newangle have been commissioned to produce over 50 interactive exhibits for a new National Museum in Bahrain. This exhibition will celebrate Bahrain’s past present and future and will open in June 2008.

 
april 2008 / Museum of London

Newangle along with ISO Design and Elbow productions have been awarded the
audio-visual contract for the Museum of London’s Capital City Project.
The £20.5 million redevelopment of the lower galleries will retell the story of London and Londoners from 1666 to the present day, dramatically transforming the Museum with an innovative design that opens up more space and creates a new glass-fronted gallery overlooking London Wall.

 
feb 2008 / Bovington Tank Museum

Bovington Tank Museum houses the largest collection of armoured vehicles in the world. After winning a large grant from the National Lottery Heritage fund to build a new exhibition hall the museum decided to completely reorganise its collection. Newangle was awarded the contract to produce all the audio-visual and interactive elements for the new interpretation. This includes audio posts and soundscapes, three large interactives and four screen-based AVs that show the evolution of the tank and tank warfare from its invention to the present day and beyond.
